Security Policy

The agreement between Analogue Ventures and a community running an app.

Last updated June 2026

Analogue Ventures (Pty) Ltd takes the security of your data and payments seriously. This policy summarises the technical and organisational measures we use to protect the website, the apps we build and operate, and the personal and payment information they handle. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. Encryption in transit

All traffic to and from our website and apps is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (HTTPS). Data exchanged between your device, our services and our providers is protected in transit against interception and tampering.

2. Access controls

Access to systems and personal information is restricted to authorised personnel on a least-privilege basis and protected by strong authentication. Administrative access to production systems is limited, logged and reviewed.

3. Infrastructure & data storage

The platform runs on reputable infrastructure and database providers that maintain their own recognised security certifications. Data at rest is protected by our providers' controls, and communities' data is logically separated so one community cannot access another's.

4. Payment security

Card payments are processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes on our own systems; sensitive card data is handled within the provider's secure, PCI-compliant environment. We accept Visa and Mastercard.

5. Monitoring & maintenance

We keep our software and dependencies up to date, apply security patches promptly, and monitor our services for errors and unusual activity so issues can be identified and addressed.

6. Incident response

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will investigate, take steps to contain and remediate it, and notify affected parties and the Information Regulator (South Africa) where required under POPIA.

7. Reporting a vulnerability

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability or have a security concern, please contact us at bens@analogueventures.co.za so we can investigate. We appreciate responsible disclosure.
