Terms of Service

By creating an account, submitting an onboarding request, or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and the community or organisation you represent, and you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Analogue Ventures turns the brand and content details you provide into a community mobile application — either on our shared "MyPeople" app or as your own fully-branded "Analogue" build. The exact scope depends on the plan and add-ons you select and anything separately agreed in writing.

Each product carries a once-off setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription, as shown on our pricing page at the time you sign up. Setup fees are payable before the build begins; the subscription is billed monthly in advance. Optional add-ons are billed monthly while enabled. Where you use in-app Payments or Storefront, a 4.5% commission applies to transactions in addition to standard payment processing fees. All fees are quoted in South African Rand and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, processed securely through our PCI-compliant payment provider.

The subscription continues month to month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time with 30 days' notice, effective at the end of the current billing month. Cancellation stops future billing; setup fees and fees already incurred for the current period are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy or as required by law.

You retain ownership of your brand, content and member data. You grant us the licence needed to build, host and operate your app and to display your brand within it. The underlying platform, tooling and any reusable components remain our property. For an "Analogue" build, ownership of bespoke deliverables is as agreed in your written scope.

You agree not to use our service or your app for unlawful, harmful, misleading or infringing purposes, not to upload content you do not have the right to use, and to comply with applicable laws and the relevant app store policies.

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care but otherwise "as is", and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you, and your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
